What is Online Auto Auction in Japan?

Every vehicle entering a Japanese auction house undergoes rigorous independent mechanical evaluation by certified inspectors. The findings are recorded on an official Auction Sheet—giving you an authentic, tamper-free report on the car's exterior grade, cabin condition, genuine odometer reading, and any past repairs.
Brand New (Factory Mileage)
Brand new vehicle with delivery mileage only (typically under 50 km). Flawless exterior and factory-sealed interior.
Same as New (Exceptional)
Virtually indistinguishable from a showroom vehicle. Very low mileage (under 25,000 km), zero body flaws or repairs.
Excellent Grade (Recommended)
Outstanding overall condition. May have microscopic hairline surface scratches only visible upon close inspection. Top choice for reconditioned buyers.
Great Grade (Standard High Quality)
Clean vehicle with minor, normal road wear (small stone chips or light scratches). Well maintained with genuine mileage.
Good Grade (Noticeable Imperfections)
Clean running car, but body may have minor visible dents or scratches requiring detailing/buffing. Higher mileage.
Average Grade (Needs Cosmetic Work)
Significant paint blemishes, minor fender dents, or noticeable wear. Mechanically sound but requires exterior touch-ups.
Repaired Accident History
The vehicle has been in an accident and subsequently repaired. Specific repaired panels or crossmembers are detailed in the inspector notes.
Minor Accident Repaired
Repairs restricted to external core support, bumper reinforcements, or rear back panel only. No core structural damage.
Heavy Structural Repair
Major repairs extending to inner body panels, floor pan, or A/B/C pillar replacement. Multiverse Auto advises against buying these units.
Flood / Modified / Non-Running
Grade 1 denotes engine swaps or flood/water damage. Asterisk (*) represents non-operational units requiring a forklift. Never recommended.
